CARMAT makes important step forward in the artificial heart field

The French company CARMAT S.A.S. recently announced the First-In-Man implantation of the world’s most advanced total artificial heart, carried out at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital in Paris. Founded by renowned surgeon Professor Alain Carpentier, CARMAT has developed one of the most sophisticated mechanical circulatory support devices yet seen.
